Jesse Watson- Worship Pastor
We all know the fun-loving Jesse that we witness daily, but here is a short background story that might interest you. Jesse was raised right here in Southeast Texas in the town of Newton. Jesse gave his life to Jesus at the age of nine. He has always had a passion for music in his heart, but didn't fully realize his passion for worship until his college days. "One night at the "Concert of Worship" in Houston's Second Baptist Church, God spoke deep into my heart through someone else. At first I was doubtful of what was spoken, but little did I know that the Holy Spirit was awakening a seed that had been sewn into my being when I was created." A week later Jesse began writing songs to the Lord which eventually led him to teach himself how to play guitar. Since then, God has been leading Jesse to places that he never expected to be. In August of 2008, God led him here and that's where he has been ever since. His beautiful wife Karis plays the drums for the worship team and currently teaches in Beaumont. And you are sure to see their daughter, Kate, and son, Tal, around church on Sunday mornings. Just look for shorter, younger versions of Jesse and Karis.
